    a) 3x² – 5x – 2 
    = 3x² + x – 6x – 2 
    = x . (3x + 1) – 2 . (3x + 1) 
    = (3x + 1) (x – 2) 
     b) 6x² – 11x + 3 
    = 6x² – 9x – 2x + 3
    = (6x² – 9x) – (2x – 3) 
    = 3x . (2x – 3) – (2x – 3) 
    = (3x – 1) (2x – 3)
