    S= {(\sqrt{5} + 1)/2 ; (1 – \sqrt{5})/2}
    Lời giải và giải thích chi tiết:
     x^4 – 2x^3 + 2x^2 – x – 2 = 0
    <=> (x^4 – x^3 + 2x^2)  – (x^3 – x^2 +2x) – (x^2 – x +2) = 0
    <=> x^2 (x^2 – x+2) – x (x^2 – x +2) – (x^2 – x +2) = 0
    <=> (x^2 – x – 1)(x^2 – x + 2) = 0
    <=> x^2 – x – 1= 0 hoặc x^2 – x + 2=  0
    Trường hợp 1:  x^2 – x + 2 = 0
    <=> (x^2 – x + 1/4) + 7/4 = 0
    <=> [ x^2 – 2 . x . 1/2 + (1/2)^2] + 7/4=0
    <=> (x-1/2)^2 + 7/4 = 0 (không xảy ra)
    Trường hợp 2: x^2 – x – 1 = 0
    <=> (x^2 – x+ 1/4) – 5/4 = 0
    <=> [x^2 – 2 . x . 1/2 + (1/2)^2] – 5/4=0
    <=> (x-1/2)^2 = 5/4
    <=> (x-1/2)^2 = (+-\sqrt{5})/2
    <=> x-1/2= (\sqrt{5})/2 hoặc x-1/2 = (-\sqrt{5})/2
    +) x – 1/2 = (\sqrt{5})/2
    <=> x = (\sqrt{5})/2 + 1/2
