    $\dfrac{x-1}{2x+5}$ = $\dfrac{6}{7}$
    ⇔ ( x – 1 ) . 7 = ( 2x + 5 ) . 6 
    ⇔ 7x – 7 = 12x + 30
    ⇔ 7x – 12x = 7 + 30
    ⇔ ( 7 – 12 ) . x = 37
    ⇔ -5x = 37
    ⇔ x = 37 : ( -5 )
    ⇔ x = $\dfrac{-37}{5}$
    Vậy x = $\dfrac{-37}{5}$

    Giải đáp:
    {x – 1}/{2x + 5} = 6/7
    -> 7.(x – 1) = 6.(2x + 5)
    -> 7x – 7 = 12x + 30
    -> 7x – 12x = 30 + 7
    -> -5x = 37
    -> x = {-37}/5
    Vậy x = {-37}/5
