a) 5x-10=-5
b)2x-6=99

    a) 5x – 10 = -5
        5x         = -5 + 10
        5x         =  5
          x         = $\frac{5}{5}$ 
          x         = 1
    b) 2x – 6 = 99
        2x       = 99 + 6
        2x       = 105
          x       = $\frac{105}{2}$ 
          x       = 52,5

               5x = -5 + 10                                    2x = 99 + 6
               5x = 5                                              2x = 105
                x  = 5 : 5                                            x = 105 : 2
                x  = 1                                                 x = 52,5
