$\Leftrightarrow \dfrac{(x + 2)^2(x – 2)}{(x – 7)(x + 2)^2} = 0$
$\Leftrightarrow \dfrac{x – 2}{x – 7} = 0$
$\Leftrightarrow x – 2 = 0$
$\Leftrightarrow x = 2$
