  1. Phân tích đa thức thành nhân tử
    a, x^3 + 3x^2 – 3x – 1
    = (x^3 – 1) + (3x^2 – 3x)
    = (x – 1)(x^2 + x + 1) + 3x(x – 1)
    = (x – 1)(x^2 + x + 1 + 3x)
    = (x – 1)(x^2 + 4x + 1)
    b, x^2 + 7x – 8
    = x^2 – x + 8x – 8
    = x(x – 1) + 8(x – 1)
    = (x + 8)(x – 1)
    c, x^2y – 4xy + 4y – 4y^3
    = y(x^2 – 4x + 4 – 4y^2)
    = y[ (x – 2)^2 – (2y)^2]
    = y(x – 2 – 2y)(x – 2 + 2y)

  2. a) x^3 + 3x^2 – 3x -1
    = x^3 – x^2 + 4x^2  – 4x + x-1
    =x^2(x-1) + 4x(x-1) +(x-1)
    =(x-1)(x^2+ 4x+1)
    Vậy x^3 + 3x^2 – 3x -1=(x-1)(x^2+ 4x+1)
    b) x^2 + 7x -8
    = x^2 -x + 8x -8
    = x(x-1) + 8(x-1)
    =(x-1)(x+8)
    Vậy x^2 + 7x -8=(x-1)(x+8)
    c) x^2y – 4xy + 4y – 4y^3
    = y(x^2 – 4x + 4 – 4y^2)
    =y[(x^2 – 2x.2+ 2^2 ) – (2y)^2]
    = y[(x-2)^2 – (2y)^2]
    = y(x-2-2y)(x-2+2y)
    Vậy x^2y – 4xy + 4y – 4y^3= y(x-2-2y)(x-2+2y)
