x² + x + 1 = 1

x² + x = 1 – 1

x² + x = 0

x ( x + 1 ) = 0

$\left[\begin{matrix} x+1=0\\ x = 0\end{matrix}\right.$

$\left[\begin{matrix} x = -1\\ x = 0\end{matrix}\right.$

Vậy x = -1 hoặc x = 0

b)

x² + x + 1 = 3

x² + x + 1 – 3 = 0

x² + x – 2 = 0

( x² – x ) + ( 2x – 2 ) = 0

x ( x – 1 ) + 2 ( x – 1 ) = 0

( x + 2 ) ( x – 1 ) = 0

$\left[\begin{matrix} x+2=0\\ x-1=0\end{matrix}\right.$

$\left[\begin{matrix} x=-2\\ x=1\end{matrix}\right.$

Vậy x = -2 hoặc x = 1
