    $\dfrac{13}{12}$$\dfrac{-3}{8}$
    = $\dfrac{26}{24}$ $\dfrac{-9}{24}$
    = $\dfrac{26-9}{24}$
    = $\dfrac{17}{24}$
    $\dfrac{1}{4}$ $\dfrac{+1}{10}$
    = $\dfrac{5}{20}$ $\dfrac{+2}{20}$
    = $\dfrac{7}{20}$

    = 26/24 – 9/24
    = 17/24
    ________________
    1/4 + 1/10
