          $\text{x – 44 = -144 – 0}$
          $\text{x – 44 = -144}$
          $\text{x = ( – 144 ) + 44}$
        $\text{x = -100}$
    $\text{b) 123 – ( 100 – x ) = -17}$
        $\text{100 – x = 123 – – 17}$
          $\text{100 – x = 123 + 17}$
          $\text{100 – x = 140}$
              $\text{x = 100 – 140}$
              $\text{x = -40}$

    ⇔ – 144 – x + 44 = 0
    ⇔ ( – 144 + 44 ) – x = 0
    ⇔ – 100 – x = 0
    ⇔ – x = 100
    ⇔ x = – 100
    Vậy x = – 100
    b) 123 – ( 100 – x ) = – 17
    ⇔ 123 – 100 + x = – 17
    ⇔ 23 + x = – 17
    ⇔ x = – 17 – 23
    ⇔ x = – 40
    Vậy x = – 40
