    Điều kiện xác định \(\left[ \begin{array}{l}x\ge 1\\x\le-1\end{array} \right.\) 
    $\begin{array}{l} \sqrt {x + \sqrt {{x^2} – 1} }  + \sqrt {x – \sqrt {{x^2} – 1} }  = 2\\  \Leftrightarrow x + \sqrt {{x^2} – 1}  + x – \sqrt {{x^2} – 1}  + 2\sqrt {\left( {x + \sqrt {{x^2} – 1} } \right)\left( {x – \sqrt {{x^2} – 1} } \right)}  = 4\\  \Leftrightarrow 2x + 2\sqrt {{x^2} – \left( {{x^2} – 1} \right)}  = 4\\  \Leftrightarrow 2x + 2\sqrt 1  = 4\\  \Leftrightarrow 2x = 2\\  \Leftrightarrow x = 1 \end{array}$
