x/(x-2) = (x-2)/(x-3)

-> x/(x-2) – (x-2)/(x-3) = 0

-> [ x(x-3) – (x-2)² ]/(x-2)(x-3) = 0

-> ( x² – 3x – x² + 4x – 4) / (x-2)(x-3) = 0

-> (x-4)/(x-2)(x-3) = 0

-> x – 4 = 0

-> x = 4

(x+1)/(x-2) – 12/(x²-4) = (x+7)/(x+2)

-> (x+1)/(x-2) – 12/(x²-4) – (x+7)/(x+2) = 0

-> [(x+1)(x+2) – 12 – (x+7)(x-2)]/(x²-4) = 0

-> ( x² + 3x + 2 – 12 – x² – 5x + 14 ) / (x² – 4) = 0

-> (-2x + 4)/(x²-4) = 0

-> -2x + 4 = 0

-> -2x = -4

-> x = 2
