$A=|2-\sqrt{5}|+|2\sqrt{2}-\sqrt{5}|$
$=2\sqrt{2}-2$

$=|\sqrt{7}-2\sqrt{2}|+|3-2\sqrt{2}|$
$=2\sqrt{2}-\sqrt{7}+3-2\sqrt{2}$
$=3-\sqrt{7}$
