$= 17.(85+15)-120$
$= 17.100 – 120$
$= 1700 – 120$

b) $80-[4.(-5)^2+2(-2)^3]$
$= 80-[4.25 + 2.(-8)]$
$= 80-(100 – 16)$
$= 80-84$
$= -4$
c) $13-18-(-42)-15$
$= -5+42-15$
$= -20 + 42$
