√(x + 4) – √(x – 5) = 1 (ĐKXĐ : x ≥ 5)
(=) x + 4 – 2√(x + 4)(x – 5) + x – 5 = 1
(=) – 2√(x² – x – 20) = 2 – 2x
(=) √(x² – x – 20) = x – 1
(=) x² – x – 20 = x² – 2x + 1
(=) x = 21 (nhận)
Vậy phương trình trên có tập nghiệm là S = {21}
