    Ta có $sin^{2}$x + $cos^{2}$x = 1 (cái này có chứng minh trong sgk)
    => sinx = $\sqrt{1 – cos^{2}x}$ 
    => sinx = $\sqrt{1 – 0,4^{2}}$ 
    => sinx = $\frac{\sqrt{21}}{5}$
    Lại có tanx=$\frac{sinx}{cosx}$ => tanx = $\frac{\sqrt{21}}{2}$
    Và tanx . cotx = 1=> cotx =$\frac{1}{\frac{\sqrt{21}}{2}}$ = $\frac{2\sqrt{21} }{21}$

    Giải đáp:
     Ta có: $+)  \cos^2(x)+\sin^2(x)=1$ (theo tỉ số lượng giác )
    $⇒\sin^2(x) =1-\cos^2(x)$
    $⇒\sin^2(x)=1-0,16$
    $⇒\sin^2(x)=0,84$
    $⇒\sin(x)\approx=0,9$
    $+)   \frac{\sin(x)}{cos(x)}=\tan(x)$  (theo tỉ số lượng giác )
    $\Rightarrow \frac{0,9}{0,4}=\tan(x) $ 
    $\Rightarrow \tan(x) \approx 2,25$
    $+) \frac{1}{\tan(x)}=\cot(x)$ 
    $\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2,25}=\cot(x)$
    $\Rightarrow \cot(x) \approx0,4$
