    = 17 . (29 + 111) – 29 . 17
    = 17 . (29 + 111 – 29)
    = 17 . 111
    = 1887
    b) 19 . 43 + (-20) . 43 – (-40)
    = 19 . 43 – 20 . 43 + 40
    = 43 . (19 – 20) + 40
    = 43 . (-1) + 40 
    = -43 + 40
    = -(43 – 40)
    = -3
