ĐKXĐ $: x >= – 1$

$ PT <=> 2\sqrt{x^{2} + 16} + 3(x – 3)(\sqrt{x + 1} + 1)$

$ = 3(\sqrt{x + 1} + 1) + (\sqrt{x + 1} – 1)$

$ <=> 2(\sqrt{x^{2} + 16} – 5) + 3(x – 3)(\sqrt{x + 1} + 1)$

$ = 4(\sqrt{x + 1} – 2)$

$ <=> \dfrac{2(x^{2} – 9)}{\sqrt{x^{2} + 16} + 5} + 3(x – 3)(\sqrt{x + 1} + 1)$

$ = \dfrac{4(x – 3)}{\sqrt{x + 1} + 2}$

– TH 1 $ : x – 3 = 0 <=> x = 3 (TM)$
– TH 2 $ : \dfrac{2(x + 3)}{\sqrt{x^{2} + 16} + 5} + 3(\sqrt{x + 1} + 1)$

$ = \dfrac{4}{\sqrt{x + 1} + 2}$

PT nầy vô nghiệm vì dễ thấy $ VT > 3 ; VP =< 2$

KL : PT có nghiệm duy nhất $ x = 3$
