Giải đáp:

$a. ( x + 2 )^{2} = ( 2x – 1 )^{2}$

⇔ $( x + 2 )^{2} – ( 2x – 1 )^{2} = 0$

⇔ $( x + 2 – 2x + 1 )( x + 2 + 2x – 1 ) = 0$

⇔ $( 3 – x )( 3x + 1 ) = 0$

⇔ \(\left[ \begin{array}{l}x=3\\x=-\frac{1}{3}\end{array} \right.\)

$b. ( x + 2 )^{2} – x + 4 = 0$

⇔ $x^{2} + 4x + 4 – x + 4 = 0$

⇔ $x^{2} + 3x + 8 = 0$

⇔ $( x^{2} + 3x + \frac{9}{4} ) + \frac{23}{4} = 0$

⇔ $( x + \frac{3}{2} )^{2} + \frac{23}{4} = 0$

Nhận xét : $( x + \frac{3}{2} )^{2} ≥ 0$ với $∀ x ∈ R$

⇒ $( x + \frac{3}{2} )^{2} + \frac{23}{4} > 0$ với $∀ x ∈ R$

⇒ Phương trình vô nghiệm
