    3 – 12 : (x-5) =2
    12 : (x-5) = 3 – 2 = 1
    x -5 = 12 : 1 =12
    x =12 +5= 17
    $\\$
    4 + 9 : [2 + 7 : (x-1) ] = 7
    9 : [ 2 +7 : (x-1) ]  = 7 -4  =3
    2 + 7 : (x-1) = 9 : 3 =3
    7 : (x-1) = 3 – 2 =1
    x – 1 = 7 : 1 = 7
    x = 7 +1 =8
    $\\$
    2 xx 5 – 6 :  (2+3  : x) = 2 xx 4
    10 – 6  : (2+3 : x) =8
    6 : (2+3 : x) = 10 – 8 =2
    2 +3 : x = 6 : 2 =3
    3 : x = 3 – 2 =1
