  1. $B=x- x²$
    $B=-x²+2.x.\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{4}$
    $B=-(x²-2.x.\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{4})+\frac{1}{4}$
    $B=-(x-\frac{1}{2})+\frac{1}{4}$
    Do $-(x-\frac{1}{2})≤0∀x$
    $⇒-(x-\frac{1}{2})+\frac{1}{4}≤0+\frac{1}{4}∀x$
    Vậy GTLN là $\frac{1}{4}$ khi $x-\frac{1}{2}=0$
                                          $⇒x=\frac{1}{2}$
     

  2. B = x – x² 
       = – ( x² – x )
       = – [ x² – 2 . x . $\frac{1}{2}$ + ($\frac{1}{2}$ )² – $\frac{1}{4}$ ]
       = – [ ( x – $\frac{1}{2}$ )² – $\frac{1}{4}$ ]
       =  – ( x – $\frac{1}{2}$ )² + $\frac{1}{4}$
    Vì ( x – $\frac{1}{2}$ )² ≥ 0 ∀ x ⇒ – ( x – $\frac{1}{2}$ )² ≤ ∀ x
    nên – ( x – $\frac{1}{2}$ )² + $\frac{1}{4}$ ≤ $\frac{1}{4}$ ∀x
    Dấu ” = ” xảy ra khi : x – $\frac{1}{2}$ = 0 ⇔ x = $\frac{1}{2}$ 
    Vậy B max khi x = 1/2
