(x² – x + 2)² – 3(x + 2)² = (x² – x)² – 5x² – 21x

⇔ (x² – x)² + 4(x² – x) + 4 – 3(x² + 4x + 4) = (x² – x)² – 5x² – 21x

⇔ 4x² – 4x + 4 – 3x² – 12x – 12 = -5x² – 21x

⇔ 6x² + 5x – 8 = 0(1)

Có: Δ = 5² – 4×6×(-8) = 25 + 192 = 217 > 0 ⇒ √Δ = √217

Suy ra pt (1) có 2 nghiệm phân biệt:

x1 = $\frac{-5 – √217}{12}$

x2 = $\frac{-5 + √217}{12}$
