$\Leftrightarrow$ $-4x+2=0$
$\Leftrightarrow$ $-4x=0+2$
$\Leftrightarrow$ $-4x=2$
$\Leftrightarrow$ $ x=2:(-4)$
$\Leftrightarrow$ $ x=-$1/2
