= ( 1 – 1/2) + ( 1/2 – 1/3) + ( 1/3 – 1/4) + ( 1/4 – 1/5) + ( 1/5 – 1/6) + ( 1/6 – 1/7) + ( 1/7 – 1/8) + ( 1/8 – 1/9)
